Lights for Peace and Reconciliation

Community Foundation Traces of Life, for more than 12 years, Citadel is developing in the North commune, city ​​of Manizales, Projects, processes and social activities of leisure and recreational type, artistic and cultural, educational, environmental and technological;  since 4 years makes the draft solidarity economy "Lights for peace and reconciliation",  which makes it possible for the community to mobilize around a common objective: making Christmas lanterns, under a theme of building peace and harmony, with the slogan "Manizales, city ​​of traditions ".

This process is presented as a social inclusion initiative, through which talent becomes visible, the discipline and perseverance that the population linked to him has. These lanterns are made with the hands of young people and mothers who are heads of households., where your greatest motivation will be to generate this festival of lights and colors that will allow you to show yourself as an example of teamwork, filled with light and Christmas spirit major city parks (Bamboo Park ( Caldas Park), Plaza de Bolivar and Founders Park) in addition to the main street of Solferino, more than (3.000) three thousand lanterns. This event will offer the city a space for family unity,  in which art will be present as a means to present and promote among the people of Manizale the recognition of our culture and Christmas customs during the traditional lighting day..
